seattleads for storylines! [15 Jul 2008|05:49pm] ~seattlest is a city based comm in seattle, washington. yes, the name comes from a local blog in seattle, but this is not a blogging site. as mods we want to give you a place where you can have as much creative freedom as possible in creating your characters. with that in mind, we'd like to have this place be diverse as far as who is played here. this game welcomes anyone and everyone as long as they are 18+ because this is not for high school kids. other than that, how your character is made is completely up to you, but with that please try to keep it realistic as well. 1) plain and simple do not blur the ic/ooc line. it is there for a reason and we do not want ooc drama brought into the community. if you are being harassed ooc by a member of this community, please let us know and we will take care of the situation. 2) the update limit is three weeks. we feel that this is a sufficient amount of time to type out a journal update for your character. we also encourage aim activity and posting in the sub-communities, this helps your character interact and make friends. 3) when it comes to played-by's anyone is fine. we allow originals, scene/hipster kids, actors/actresses, models, whoever you feel like trying out. the only rule is characters must be over the age of eighteen! if you would like to play a teenager, they must be out of high school which means they can be graduated, getting their ged, or drop-outs. we do want a varied amount of faces so we encourage diversity! 4) storylines involving marriage and pregnancy or other sorts of drama must be mod approved. we are encouraging realistic amounts of drama but we do not want everyone to be pregnant or getting married, that wouldn't be realistic. if we do okay your pregnancy it must last the full nine months, no ifs ands or buts about it. 5) and last but not least, treat everyone in this community with the respect they deserve. no stealing icons, graphics, entries, etc. if we find that you have stolen anything, we will be talking to you! also no starting unnecessary ooc drama. like i said before, if you two have problems, do not blur and make it a part of the community. either avoid them or keep everything ic. 6) to apply, we are doing things a little differently. you will need a friends only post as well as examples for us to review! if you are accepted, you have a week to write up a biography, ten detailed bullet points, or put together a survey. we are giving you more time to flesh out your character because we realize it can be hard to do in three or four days! if you do not post your bio/facts/survey within a week of being accepted, you will be removed and considered inactive. holds will be taken here and will last until the first set of adds which is to be decided by the mods! since it's hard to tell who has set up and who hasn't, we're going to allow challenges to any hold that hasn't placed an application. p means pending g means guaranteed c means there's a challenge held: amanda mink g christian bale p dirk mai sj whitley p tom conrad 1 comment|post comment
